Why did you join?
I wanted to do an apprenticeship as I couldn’t see myself going to university; I have a hands on approach to learning and because of this saw a great opportunity in being an apprentice, and also working for a very well respected employer and reputable company was a massive thing for me. 

What has been the best part of your apprenticeship so far?

The best part of my apprenticeship was being able to help my colleagues, assist them with hitting their target, and being an integral part of the team. I’m a massive team player and in my role as an apprentice, teamwork was at the heart of this. Also, being able to enhance my skills and knowledge so when I was promoted to Freight Account Manager I was well equipped and knew what to do; all thanks to my colleagues who helped me along the way.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve you learnt during your apprenticeship?
Learning how much work goes on behind the scenes in order to get goods from point A to point B was a big eye opener and very interesting.

What’s the hardest thing about doing an apprenticeship?
The coursework!

What advice would you give someone else looking to start an apprenticeship at KN?
To be punctual, polite to their peers and ask as many questions as possible. Be a ‘’sponge’’ and soak up as much information as possible.
