Time at Kuehne + Nagel: 3 Years

Hobbies: Cycling, running and general keep-fit activities

Fun Fact: I used to hold the UK Record for catching the biggest Goldfish

What first attracted you to Kuehne + Nagel?

The opportunity to be in a dynamic and changing environment was a must! This combined with a rotational scheme was perfect for me as it would allow me to meet more people, and learn about different aspects of the company! Being in the financial sector, I knew this type of scheme would not only allow me to develop my finance knowledge, but it would allow me to further my horizon and apply it into a large variety of projects, tasks and developments.

What was your most memorable experience from the programme?

The team building activities are some I will never forget. The workshops were great fun, and helped me grow massively as a person, and an employee. Although my graduate peers are now dispersed across the globe, it is a friendship group which will last a very long time.

Where are you now?

I am currently a Senior Business Analyst on one of our large pharmaceutical contracts, specialising in streamlining financial processes to bring visibility to the customer, and stability to Kuehne + Nagel. This dynamic role allows me to work with the customer directly, on exciting new projects and developments to help further grow the partnership. The blend between project and ‘business as usual’ work gives me great understanding of where we as Kuehne + Nagel are, and what we are striving towards. Being part of this journey and development is something I am really enjoying, and I know will enhance my career in Kuehne + Nagel.

What advice would you give to future graduates?

My advice is to give 100% to all activities, events and opportunities the Graduate scheme gives you. The role puts you in a very fortunate position to be able to get one-on-one advise from Kuehne + Nagel’s leaders, and these connections will support you in a successful future in the ever growing business, through various sectors and departments.
