Back B2022 and Kuehne+Nagel dual-branded trucks

Kuehne+Nagel has unveiled its 10-fleet dual-branded Birmingham 2022 and Kuehne+Nagel trucks that will be utilised to transport games equipment, athletes’ luggage and many other items for this year’s Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Kuehne+Nagel is the Official Event Logistics Provider to Birmingham 2022, taking place 28 July-8 August 2022, one of the largest sports events ever to take place in the West Midlands.

Supporting an event of this magnitude requires meticulous planning and attention to detail and so the trucks will be out on the road imminently, to start venue deliveries, to ensure the athletes and officials – most of whom will travel from 72 competing nations and territories to the West Midlands – as well as the organisers of the Games, will have everything they need, to train for and compete in the Games.

Brian Cox, managing director UK, Kuehne+Nagel said, “So much work goes on behind the scenes, to prepare for and provide the logistics to an event like the Commonwealth Games, so seeing these trucks out on the road is a very tangible reminder that preparations are underway, months in advance.  Everyone involved in supporting this event at Kuehne+Nagel is thrilled to be involved.”

Tamara Sutherland, Head of Logistics at Birmingham 2022 said, “We’re really pleased that the trucks are now available for our transport needs.  I think anyone seeing the trucks in and around the West Midlands will feel proud that we’re hosting this fantastic event and we look forward to seeing them on the road soon.”
