Customs formalities are required for all imports into and exports from the UK. Since January 1st, 2021, this also applies for transportation between the UK and Europe.
Letter of Empowerment
To act as your customs representative, we require a valid 'Letter of Empowerment' (or 'Power of Attorney')
Please download and print the enclosed “Letter of Empowerment” (or “Power of Attorney”) on your letterhead to authorise Kuehne+Nagel Ltd to submit your export and/or import declarations on your behalf.
Please download one of the templates below.
Once you have downloaded, printed on your company's letterhead, completed and signed your Letter of Empowerment please email it back to us. It will then be dealt with by one of our dedicated Customs team.
IMPORTANT - We will not be able to process the collections and/or deliveries of your freight without the signed Letter of Empowerment, which may lead to delays in your transit times and incur additional costs.
