Kuehne+Nagel is partnering with the organisation Henpicked, which specialises in helping organisations become an accredited menopause friendly workplace through ensuring we have the right tools, guidance and training in place.
Women aged 50-64 are the largest growing population in the workplace and despite the evidence, menopause often flies under the radar creating the danger that women will be misinformed and unprepared.
Everyone’s experience of menopause is different. The symptoms of menopause can be physical or psychological, ranging from hot flushes and insomnia, to anxiety, fatigue and brain fog. For those that struggle with symptoms, you can’t just leave them at the door when you come to work.
“That’s a lot of knowledge, experience and skills that we don’t want to lose – one in four women who experience menopausal symptoms in the UK have considered leaving their role because of them. We can’t let that happen at Kuehne+Nagel”
Alison Griffiths, an employee behind the activities for October’s Menopause Awareness month.
