Back KN wins RoSPA Gold

Kuehne+Nagel has been awarded the Royal Society for Accident Prevention (RoSPA) Gold Award for its continued high standards of safety, as part of its Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST) Programme contract for the MOD.

RoSPA is an internationally recognised UK charity that works to prevent the needless loss and devastation caused by accidents, in all areas of life.

In 2015, Kuehne+Nagel was one of several companies chosen to transform the MOD’s procurement, storage and distribution of supplies for the UK’s armed forces.  Safety and accident prevention has been key to achieving this.

From establishing a health and safety culture, to developing occupational health and safety management systems and risk control measures, the programme now has very low levels of error, harm and loss.

Receiving gold recognises the many benefits to staff and the MOD, such as improved health and safety, staff relations and morale, business efficiency and better regulatory compliance.  It’s a win-win for reducing the costs and time associated with accidents.

“

We’re delighted with this win of the gold standard. It’s not just the Defence Fulfilment Centre where safety is now well managed; we also have verification that our safety systems are working throughout.
