Back SailGP partnership
Who is SailGP?
SailGP races for a better future, championing a world powered by nature. SailGP is an annual global sports championship that features bold, cutting-edge technology and awe-inspiring athleticism. Over the season, rival national teams battle it out at breath-taking speeds in identical F50 catamarans in some of the most iconic harbours around the globe, competing for the sports largest monetary prize.
Our joint mission for more sustainability in event logistics
Together, we aim to set a new standard for major event logistics, minimising the carbon footprint of the sail racing league's transports. SailGP is the first verified carbon-neutral sports and entertainment property.
Our partnership is based on the same mindset of caring for the future of our planet. At Kuehne+Nagel, we are committed to providing environmentally friendly and sustainable supply chain solutions – also in the events logistics industry.

How does it work?
For future seasons, SailGP has full visibility on all shipping-related emissions through our Seaexplorer platform. The tool enables SailGP to select more efficient transport routes that emit substantially less carbon.
For the emissions that can’t be removed or reduced, e.g. via the usage of alternative fuels, Kuehne+Nagel’s Net Zero Carbon programme will offset the remaining carbon footprint of all shipments via verified gold standard offsets. Taken together, the measures will ensure a 100 per cent CO2 neutral supply chain.
