The Laureus Sport for Good Index recognises brands that are leading the way in delivering positive social or ecological impact through sport. Launched in 2021, the Index once again celebrates brands that, through collaboration, innovation, and creativity, are making significant contributions across the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as laid out by the United Nations.
Kuehne+Nagel is proud to be recognised as a company putting purpose front and centre when partnering with sporting events across the UK and around the world. It’s not just about making sure the transport and logistical needs are met for our customers but partnering with them to deliver meaningful social impacts to local and global communities.
Brian Cox, Managing Director UK, Kuehne+Nagel comments, “It’s fantastic working with partners that share our same values and purpose. From investing in sustainable logistics solutions to transport SailGP's event infrastructure to ensuring as a minimum they are moved in a carbon neutral way, using biofuels and electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, to planting a ‘Tree for a Try’ at The Rugby League World Cup 2021, together with our customers we’re driving lasting, sustainable change.”
Determined through an independently adjudicated judging process overseen by a panel of industry experts, the purpose of the Index is to assess an organisation’s commitment towards building an equitable society, reducing sport’s ecological footprint, and growing the sports industry’s economy through sport for good campaigns.
This second edition of the Index features 29 leading brands from multiple industry sectors, including sports goods and apparel, technology, energy, and transport.
